Welcome to the release notes for July 2024. We are continuously improving our delivery management software, delivering updates that range from minor tweaks to significant overhauls. This month brings numerous updates that we hope you’ll enjoy. Here are some of the key highlights:

1. New Skills Management Module

We are excited to introduce the new Skills Management module. This module addresses the challenge of assigning jobs that require specific skills to the appropriate team members. With the skills match feature, tasks with specific requirements are ensured to be assigned to team members who possess the necessary skills.

For example, a delivery task requiring a special vehicle, such as a refrigerated truck, will only be assigned to a team member who has access to such a truck. Similarly, a pickup task that necessitates a driver with a dangerous goods license will only be assigned to drivers who meet this requirement.

The Skills Management module ensures that tasks are assigned only to team members who meet all the required skills across route optimization, automated task assignment, and task self-assignment modules.

2. New Task View Modal

We have designed a new modal to view task details. Instead of the existing edit task form, the new task view modal consolidates all information related to a single pickup or delivery job into one page. This includes task details, custom fields, custom form details, product/package lists, file attachments, time windows, location maps, proof of completion, invoice details, timeline history and more.

Previously user had to switch between different tabs to view this information on the edit task form. Now, the new task view modal puts everything on one page, reducing the number of clicks. Users can also print all the information with a single click or perform various actions such as generating a delivery docket, changing status, or viewing the customer tracking page.

3. Print Delivery Docket on POS Receipt

Delivery docket provides comprehensive details about a task, including task descriptions, service pricing, product lists, QR code for tracking, sign-off sheet and more. It also serves as proof of job completion, ensuring transparency and accountability for both the customer and the service provider.

Previously, delivery dockets could only be printed as A4 PDF documents. This meant that dispatchers or drivers had to print them at the office either before heading out for deliveries or after completing their routes. This process was not only time-consuming but also less efficient for on-the-go operations. To address these limitations and support mobile management, we have introduced the capability to print delivery dockets directly onto Bluetooth POS receipt printers. Whether you are in the office or out in the field, the ability to print delivery dockets on POS receipts ensures you have the flexibility and efficiency needed for seamless delivery management.
