The WooDelivery API is a web service for developers and integrations to programmatically interact with WooDelivery’s data and real-time delivery management functionalities. By accessing or using our APIs, you are agreeing to our Terms of Service. You agree to comply with the API terms of service below and that the terms control your relationship with us.
1. Registration
In order to access certain APIs you may be required to provide certain information (such as identification or contact details) as part of the registration process for the APIs, or as part of your continued use of the APIs. Any registration information you give to WooDelivery will always be accurate and up to date and you’ll inform us promptly of any updates.
2. Permitted Access
You will only access (or attempt to access) an API by the means described in the documentation of that API. If WooDelivery assigns you credentials, you must use them with the applicable APIs. You will not misrepresent or mask either your identity or your API Client’s identity when using the APIs or developer accounts.
3. API Limitations
WooDelivery sets and enforces limits on your use of the APIs (e.g. limiting the number of API requests that you may make or the number of users you may serve), in our sole discretion If you would like to use any API beyond these limits, you must obtain WooDelivery’s express consent (and WooDelivery may decline such request or condition acceptance on your agreement to additional terms and/or charges for that use).
4. API Throttling
To stay within the API limit, we strongly recommend that you use a library to help you orchestrate your request rate. Few guidelines on how to avoid making too many API requests:
- If possible, use webhooks instead of polling for state changes. (Webhooks can be set up on the admin dashboard under settings – notification page)
- When creating many tasks, use the batch endpoint if possible.
- If it seems like you’re making many requests for a simple operation or finding many entities to locally scan for a single one, it’s possible you’re using the API in an inefficient way.
5. Security
You will use commercially reasonable efforts to protect user information collected by your API Client, including personal data, from unauthorized access or use and will promptly report to your users any unauthorized access or use of such information to the extent required by applicable law.
6. User Privacy
You will comply with (1) all applicable privacy laws and regulations including those applying to personal data and (2) WooDelivery’s Privacy Policy, which governs your use of the APIs when you request access to WooDelivery information.
7. Ownership
WooDelivery does not acquire ownership in your API Clients, and by using our APIs, you do not acquire ownership of any rights in our APIs or the content that is accessed through our APIs.
8. Service Availability
Whilst WooDelivery intends that the Service should be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, it is possible that on occasions the Service or Platform may be unavailable to permit maintenance or other development activity to take place, or for reasons outside our control. If for any reason we have to interrupt the Services for longer periods than we would normally expect, we will use reasonable endeavours to publish in advance details of such activity, typically by email.
9. Warranties
WooDelivery gives no warranty about the API Service. The service is provided AS IS. Without limiting the foregoing, we do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements, that it will be suitable for any particular purpose, or that it will be available on an uninterrupted, secure, or error-free basis.
10. Limitation of Liability
WooDelivery has no liability for consequential loss, loss of profit (actual or anticipated) or for other damages of any kind, however caused, arising in any way out of or in connection with the Service.
WooDelivery will not be responsible for failure to fulfil any obligation if due to an act of God, strike, lockout or other interference with work, war, blockade, disturbance, lightning, fire, earthquake, storm, flood, explosions, governmental or quasi-governmental restraint, intervention, direction or embargo.
