Welcome to the November 2024 Product Updates! This month, our product team has introduced several exciting changes and enhancements to make our platform even more feature-rich, user-friendly and efficient. Here are the key highlights:

1. Customer-Added Instructions

We’re introducing customer-added instructions feature that empowers customers to provide delivery instructions directly through the tracking link, improving communication and ensuring smooth deliveries. When customers receive tracking links via email or SMS, they can now add specific delivery instructions for the driver at any time before the job is completed. This allows for a more seamless delivery experience and greater flexibility.

Administrators can enable this feature via the Settings > Tracking page. If the task destination lacks delivery instructions, customers will see an option on the tracking page to add instructions. Once submitted, the instructions are sent instantly to both the dispatch team and the delivery driver.

2. Contacts Unsubscribe Management

Providing recipients with the ability to opt out of unwanted emails is essential for both legal compliance and maintaining email deliverability. Under CAN-SPAM regulations, including an unsubscribe option is mandatory for bulk email notifications. Moreover, a simple and accessible unsubscribe option helps safeguard your business reputation. When recipients can easily opt out, they are less likely to mark your emails as spam, protecting your business and offering valuable insights.

Now, every customer notification email now includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom, automatically added by the system. In the Unsubscribers tab on the Contacts page, you can easily view and manage contacts who have chosen to opt out of email notifications. Dispatchers can manually disable notifications for any contact, while customers can unsubscribe themselves by clicking the link in the email footer. All unsubscribed contacts are conveniently listed in the tab, ensuring efficient tracking and management.

3. Send Bulk ETA via SMS

We’re excited to introduce the feature to give you the ability to manually send ETA update text messages to all customers on a delivery route at once. After optimizing routes and assigning tasks to drivers, you can send bulk ETA updates in just a few clicks. The text message template is fully customizable by administrators, allowing you to personalize your communication.

This feature complements automated SMS notifications by providing more control over when ETAs are sent. For example, you can choose to send ETAs to all customers in the morning before deliveries start. With this added flexibility, you can ensure timely updates and improve customer satisfaction.

4. Task Form Customization

We’re recently added a new feature that allows administrators to simplify the task creation form by removing unused features. For example, tabs like Items (for creating items and packages) or Attachments (for uploading files) can now be disabled if they are not needed for your business.

Administrators can manage these settings on the Settings > Account page, making the task form cleaner and easier to use for users and merchants. Tailor the form to suit your needs and improve the user experience!

5. Fuel Economy Management

Our Vehicle Management module enables you to assign vehicles to drivers, set service and registration reminders, manage issues and defects, track odometer logs, fuel usage, on-road expenses, and more. With the addition of fuel economy tracking, you’ll have even greater insights to optimize vehicle performance and reduce costs.

This addition allows drivers or dispatchers to log fuel economy metrics, such as KML (kilometers per liter) or MPG (miles per gallon), for each vehicle. These logs can be used for future tracking and reporting, helping you monitor fuel efficiency over time.
