As 2024 draws to a close, we’re thrilled to share our final product update of the year, featuring exciting new features and enhancements. Your ongoing support and commitment to our solutions inspire us every day. Let’s take a moment to celebrate our shared successes and look ahead to an even brighter 2025. Stay tuned for what’s to come—here’s to an incredible journey together. Happy New Year!

1. Default POD Settings by Task Type

We’re excited to introduce the ability to configure default mandatory Proof of Delivery (POD) settings for different task types. Previously, administrators could only set default POD requirements for all tasks. Now, you can enforce unique POD types based on the task type—for example, requiring a signature for pickup jobs and photos or one-time password (OTP) for delivery jobs.

This update gives you greater control over task completion requirements, ensuring drivers collect the appropriate proof for each type of task. Enhance your workflow by tailoring POD settings to meet your specific operational needs!

2. COD Payment Methods

The Cash on Delivery (COD) feature enables drivers to collect payments for goods directly from customers at the time of delivery. Customers may have the flexibility to pay using various methods, including cash, credit cards, or other payment options. With the recent system update, drivers can select the payment method during collection, ensuring accurate tracking of funds.

Administrators can define the payment methods drivers must choose from when collecting payments from customters. These payment details are now reflected in the POD reports, allowing administrators to easily monitor how customers paid and how much cash drivers need to submit. This update streamlines cash tracking and enhances accountability for COD payments, making it easier to manage funds across your operations.

3. Pricing Template – Weight-Based Pricing

We’ve enhanced our pricing template to make weight-based shipping fee calculations even more flexible and user-friendly. Previously, the total weight of all items or packages had to be added to a task to calculate the shipping fee. Now, administrators can define how the weight is captured and used for fee calculations, streamlining the process.

By default, the system continues to use the total weight of all packages added to the task. With the new update, you can enable the Capacity Management module to use the value in the capacity field as the weight. Alternatively, you can create custom fields (number, text, or dropdown) and use their values for weight-based fee calculations. This update provides greater flexibility, allowing you to tailor the weight calculation process to your specific operational needs!

4. Enhancements to Task Scheduling Time

We’ve made scheduling tasks more flexible and intuitive! Administrators can now set the default “Complete Before” due time for new tasks to either “End of Today” or “End of Tomorrow”. This update is especially useful for businesses offering same-day or next-day delivery services.

Previously, you could only set the due time based on a specific number of hours or days. With this enhancement, task scheduling becomes more streamlined, aligning with the practical needs of many delivery operations. Simplify your scheduling and enhance your delivery workflows today!

5. Scan to Transfer Tasks

Our new Scan to Assign module provides greater flexibility for task reassignment. Previously, if a task was already assigned to a driver, it had to be unassigned manually before another driver could self-assign it by scanning the QR code or barcode. This process was time-consuming and inconvenient.

With the latest update, drivers can now scan a QR code or barcode to self-assign a task, even if it is currently assigned to another driver. This feature is perfect for scenarios like task transfers, where the original driver can leave the packages on-site, and a second driver can simply scan the QR codes on the shipping labels to take over the tasks seamlessly. Simplify task reassignment and improve operational efficiency with this new functionality!

6. Ring Time Settings for Auto-Dispatch

We’ve added more flexibility to the auto-dispatch ring time settings to enhance the driver experience. Previously, the ring time for new tasks lasted a minimum of 30 seconds when the app was running in the background, which could sometimes disrupt drivers, especially while driving.

With the latest update, administrators can now customize the ring time for new task dispatch. Choose between a short 5-second short notification sound or continue with the persistent 30-second ring. This update allows you to better balance task notifications with driver convenience and safety.
